Tropical Infections Intensive Care Perspectives is an attempt to fill the gap in a common and frequently encountered problem in critical care units in India. The chapters are written by intensivists for intensivists in training, as well as those who have been practicing critical care. The book focuses on the approach to and management of common tropical infections in India.
The first chapter provides an overview of the epidemiology of tropical infections seen in India, along with an algorithmic approach to diagnosis, providing clues that would help clinicians at the bedside. The subsequent chapters cover specific tropical infections, including scrub typhus, other rickettsial infections, malaria, dengue, leptospirosis, and enteric fever. For each of the infections, apart from clinical manifestations and a focus on critical care aspects of management, a brief description of the pathophysiology is presented.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
