The aim of this book is to present the reader with an up-to-date account of the more common gynaecological problems from which women can suffer and to offer nurses an insight into the medical, nursing, social and legal issues that surround many female reproductive-tract anomalies. The book concentrates on gynaecological (science of women) issues, but certain aspects, particularly in relation to reproduction, necessarily involve paying attention to mens health too. This book is not a comprehensive account of all the pathological conditions that can affect the female productive tract. Rather, it is an invaluable resource book for both student nurses and Registered Nurses when questions arise in relation to health education or promotion, womens decision-making with regard to available treatments, and possible legal issues.
